Wir befinden uns im Jahr 2012. Die Welt wird von den Reichen und Schönen beherrscht. Allein die „Aktion Mutante“ kämpft gegen das System. Diese Gruppe behinderter Freaks, angeführter vom entstellten Ramón Yarritu, plant ihren größten Coup: Die Entführung der Industriellentochter Patricia. Und alle machen mit: Die siamesischen Zwillinge Alex und Juan, Cesar Ravenstein, bekannt durch sein 5-Kilo-Sprengstoff-Implantat, der 50fach vorbestrafte Mechaniker José, der taube Gonzales mit dem niedrigsten IQ der Welt, sowie der bucklige, homosexuelle, zwergwüchsige Montero, Jude, Freimaurer und Kommunist. Bereits auf der Flucht ins Weltall zeigt sich, dass die Selbstzerstörungskräfte der Gruppe nicht zu unterschätzen sind. Als sie schließlich auf einem entfernten Rohstoffplaneten landen, der von abgeschobenen Triebtätern bevölkert wird, gehen ihre Probleme erst so richtig los.
